Alpha Mae lived her life on her own terms and on her own two feet! She was a true spitfire from the very beginning, strong-willed, independent, loving, and never afraid to speak her mind.

On August 28, 2026, Alpha Mae peacefully left this world and began her next great adventure.

Born the youngest of 10 children, Alpha grew up surrounded by family and carried that love of family throughout her life. She loved deeply and never hesitated to show it. She was known for her strong personality, her generous heart, and the love she had for the people who mattered most to her.

Of all the roles she held in life, her favorite was being Nana. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She had a special way of making each grandchild feel loved, accepted, and completely at home with her.

Alpha Mae leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a family who will carry her love with them always.

She is survived by her children, Shawn Lee Brake and wife Leslie, Janet Jackson, Kenneth Brake, and Raven Cheyanne Brake; her grandchildren, Lee Brake and wife Maddie, Bailey Hemphill and husband Bryce, Gavin Hamilton, Scarlett Brake, and Dixie Brake; and her great-grandchildren, Paisley Hemphill, Parker Hemphill, and Ace Jackson.

She is also survived by her siblings, Myrtle and husband Dale Martin of Birch Tree, Missouri, Marion Quick of Mansfield, Missouri, and Merlene and husband Allen Brake of Marshfield, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her late husband, Jeff Brake; her son, Mitchell Lee Adams; her grandson, Bodie Lane Brake; her nephew, Little Ronnie Ice Jr.; her brother, Norman Quick; and her sisters, Maryann Grisham, Maxine Box, Margaret Friend, Judy Ellison, and Joann Ice.

We find comfort in knowing she has been reunited with her late husband, Jeff, and baby boy, Mitchell, along with several other family members. They are together again in paradise. Until we meet again, Momma. See ya later.
