Alvin "Gene" Garcia was born to Carolyn Kay Marsh and Alvin "Buddy" Garcia at University Hospital.

Gene grew up in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Chandler, Oklahoma and has a host of brothers and sisters. Gene loved his family and friends very much. He admired his grandmother Vera. She was his hero as he would say. He would always remind you of what granny said to you and what she has done for you.

Gene also loved to sing and had a voice of a soprano. His favorite song was "Going up Yonder".

Alvin Garcia leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother Carolyn Kay Marsh of Oklahoma City; sister Annise LaKay Marsh of Oklahoma City, 2 nephews DeMarco and Demetrious, 1 niece Mya; 1 Aunt- Pat Johnson of Chandler, 2 uncles Harold Burgess Sr. of Chandler and David "Butch" Burgess (Jackie) of Memphis, TN. and a host of nieces and nephews, and cousins.

Preceding Alvin in death are his grandparents, Carl and Vera Burgess and Uncle Billy Johnson.
