Arthur Weldon Webb, a wonderful husband, father, and Papa, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, 8/30/22, after suffering from congestive heart failure and kidney disease. He was born in Tecumseh, Oklahoma on October 27, 1940 to Oral and Mildred Webb, one of five sons.
Weldon graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1958. He served in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. He also served as a reservist in the United States Army. He retired from Kerr-McGee Corporation after 20 years of service.
He married his wife, Cecilia, on July 20, 1967, and they had recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary. Weldon was a talented artist and enjoyed painting and drawing. He enjoyed woodworking, reading, and desserts of all sorts! He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Papa was their favorite playmate!
Weldon was an active member of his community as a little league baseball coach and city council member. He is preceded in death by his parents and four brothers. He is survived by his wife, Cecilia, two sons, Keith (Tish) and Kyle (Jill), six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A gathering to celebrate his life will take place on Sunday, September 11th at the home of Kyle and Jill Webb, 1378 S. Fishmarket Road, McLoud, OK. Come and go, 1-4pm. Please feel free to stop by and share your memories with us.
