Arvel Raymond Winter entered this life on June 18, 1924 to Roy and Belvia Winter in Meeker, Oklahoma. Arvel entered into eternal rest on January 25, 2022 in his home in Meeker, Oklahoma at the age of 97.

Arvel was a lifelong Meeker resident. He was a hardworking man especially when it came to his job in the United States Air Force. When he was not working in the office, you could catch him on his farm working with his cattle and garden. Every Sunday he was at church and he always put his family first. Arvel proudly served in the United States Army during World War II and then later joined the United States Air Force Reserve where he retired and also retired as a Federal Auditor with the Inspector General's Office.

Preceding Arvel Winter in death is his beloved wife, Reba Winter, his son Vernon Winter, both of his parents, his sister, Jerlene Hardison, both of his son-in-laws, Gary Linn and Pete Stasyszen. His grandson in law, Jessie Borchert. Left to mourn his passing, are his two daughters, Rita Linn and Jeannita and spouse Gary Alverson. His two sons, Robert and spouse Amy Winter and Brian and spouse Jennifer Winter, and Barbara Winter. His grandchildren, Michael and Susan, Jason and Andrea, Phillip, Sarah and Ed, Corey and Cherlyn, Jodi, Doug and Angela, Caden, Summer, Skye, Jordan, Jael, and Jocelyn. His 21 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. His two brothers, Glen Winter and Wayne and spouse Ruth Ann Winter. His four sisters, Mildred Fowler, Delores Elrod, Dorothy Randall, and Norma Pettitt. Along with a host of other family and friends.
