Betty J. Terry, 86, of Shawnee, OK, passed away December 19, 2023, after a lengthy illness. She was a faithful and loving Mother to her 3 surviving children, Tim Ward (Cathy) of Tucson, AZ, Cheryl Meston (Jerry) of Casa Grande, AZ and Terry Parker of Shawnee, OK. She was a Grandmother to 7 grandchildren and Great Grandmother to 11 great grandchildren! Family meant the world to her, she always showered everyone with her love, generosity and prayers. Betty was born in Knoxville, TN, September 12, 1937. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pascal and Lucille Pursiful, sisters, Helen, Jean, and Patsy, brothers, Don, JC, Pat, Jack and Troy and husband, Ron Terry. Betty retired from Motorola in the mid 90's and in 1999 she and Ron left Arizona to enjoy their retirement and live in Shawnee, OK. Ron and Betty loved traveling and visiting family creating wonderful memories during this time. Betty was a member of Lifeline.church for many years and considered Pastor Carol and Louis Hopper as dear friends. Betty loved making jewelry, creating one of a kind necklace and earring sets, she especially loved to gift them to her family! Over the years she and Ron made many friends through their flea market business at The Shawnee Flea Market. Their closest friends were Jeff and Tammy Alexander. Betty's Celebration of Life Service will be held in 2024 in Chandler, AZ. Her family would like to express gratitude to Brown's Funeral Home in McCloud, OK for their exceptional care and compassion.
