Billy Gene Campbell was born on June 22, 1941, in El Reno, Oklahoma, to Claude and Daisy Campbell. Linda Anne Campbell was born on March 27, 1941, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, to Homer and Anna Moore. United in life and in love, Billy and Linda entered into eternal rest together on April 20, 2025, Billy in Oklahoma City at the age of 83 and Linda in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 84.

Billy and Linda were first introduced on a blind date by Rick Whited, who happened to be Billy's best friend and Linda's cousin. At the time of the date Linda had a cold, so she didn't want him to kiss her. Billy was so smitten at this point he did not care about catching her cold, so she consented. They passed that cold back and forth for months.

They dated for a short time before they married on July 25th 1959, at Fairview Baptist in Earlsboro, OK, where they continued to serve. Billy performed duties as a Deacon for approximately 50 years, while Linda spent many years working as the Sunday School Director, Secretary and in the Nursery.

They began to start their family in 1960 with the birth of MaLinda, followed by Diana in 1962, Billy in 1966, Whitney in 1971 and Matthew in 1974.

Linda was a beloved wife and mother in addition to being a helpmate and homemaker. Billy was a cherished husband and father, and worked as a carpenter with his father and brother, Harvey. Billy went on to have a construction company of his own and purchased several houses that he and his son's renovated together.

As they grew their family, they purchased 65 acres off the North Canadian River. The first summer there they planted 10 acres of watermelon! They built their house on the property shortly after, becoming a haven as the family grew through the years.

When they weren't working or in church, you would probably find them playing cards with Linda's cousin, Rick and his wife, Judy. During the season, you'd find Billy hunting for deer or elk.

Billy and Linda were a strong unit and an example of true love. They will be missed by all who knew them.

They were preceded in death by their parents, their beloved son Whitney Campbell, and siblings Dorothy Waldrup, Carl R. Moore, Junior Campbell, and Harvey Campbell.

Billy and Linda are survived by their loving children: MaLinda Mitchell, Diana Everett, William Campbell, and Matthew Campbell and wife Anna. Their legacy continues through their ten grandchildren: Jesse and wife Crystal, Adam, Jonathon and wife Ashley, Ellyssa and husband Lee, Hannah and husband Matthew, Brandy, Dylan, Alexis, Jade, and Aaralyn. They were also blessed with fourteen great-grandchildren who brought endless joy to their lives.

They are also survived their siblings: Jimmy Moore, Flora Mae Crouch, and Marian Kinslow.
