With deep respect and loving remembrance, we celebrate the life of Bonnie Jean Raines, who was born on January 15, 2023, in Oklahoma City and passed away peacefully on July 1, 2026, in Prague. Bonnie lived a long, full life, touching many with her warmth, strength, and enduring love.
Bonnie Jean was the cherished center of an extended and devoted family. She is profoundly missed by those who survive her: Sandra Mendenhall, Darlene Raines Cox, and June Raines Ray, whose unwavering companionship reflected the bonds Bonnie so genuinely nurtured through the years. Her legacy also enfolds her beloved grandchildren: Rhonda Jean Carver Cruz, Jenniffer Newby Dillingham, Candie Raines Gilman, Kellie Raines Carlson Johnson, Renee Carver Hill, Tommy Cooper, Joey Cox, Lisa Sue Mendenhall, and Jerry Newby. Each grandchild carries forth Bonnie’s values and her unwavering commitment to family.
Bonnie’s memory is further honored as she is reunited with those dear departed souls whose lives were entwined with hers. She was preceded in death by sisters Vereen Smith Stiles, Luvina Smith Fisher & Ann Pittman. Her brother Frank Smith, son Hugh Raymond “Ray” Carver, Ryan Glenn Carver, Randy Carver, Paul Glenn Mendenhall, Nicholas Amadeus Carver Cruz, Roy Glenn Carver, Onis “Shorty” Virgel Raines. Their cherished stories and shared laughter remain treasured, supporting those who grieve while weaving a rich tapestry of remembrance.
Throughout her journey, Bonnie Jean distinguished herself by living life with quiet dignity. Her presence was a grounding force, bringing comfort, wisdom, and encouragement to both her immediate and extended family. Her sense of purpose and spirit of kinship have left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her.
