Carol Jo Hazelton was born on October 24, 1934 in Humansville, Missouri to Floyd and Lucille Hughes. Carol left to be with her Lord on May 3, 2020 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Carol Jo Hazelton was a woman who enjoyed life. Carol was a God fearing woman who loved Jesus and loved to serve. She was a Pastor's wife for 53 years. She loved to cook especially for others and was known to cook enough to feed an army. Everyone loved Carol's cooking, but loved her even more. She loved to host gatherings in her home and loved her grandkids. She was a very crafty woman who also loved to read and watch Hallmark movies. She was her beloved husband's, John Hazelton best friend who she married on October 22, 1951. Carol Jo Hazelton is preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Lucille Hughes. Her two sons, David Allen Hazelton and John Steven Hazelton, one sister Bonnie Hughes. Left to celebrate the wonderful life she lived is her beloved husband, John Hazelton of McLoud, one daughter, Debra Joe Stephens and husband Johnny of McLoud, one son, Dan and wife Dannel Hazelton of Pryor. One brother, Lowell Hughes of Missouri and one sister, Beth Siems of Missouri. Along with 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. Services for Carol Jo Hazelton will be held May 6, 2020 at 4:00pm at the Calvary Cemetery in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
