Carolyn Sue Chessmore of Shawnee, OK, departed this life December 19,

2025, at her home with her son, Timothy, and granddaughter, Lucinda

"Lucy" at her side. She was born on December 15, 1943, in Henryetta,

Oklahoma to Lloyd R. & Jewel V. Sheppard. She graduated from U.S. Grant

High School in 1961, and married the love of her life, John F. Chessmore on

November 9, 1962. She worked 28 years in civil services with Tinker AFB

and eventually obtained her Bachlor's degree from Southern Nazarene

University. She loved to sing and was a member of the Choir at St. Vinent de

Paul Catholic Church where she attended with her husband. She also served

several years in Catholic Daughters of America in both Choctaw and

Harrah. She loved all her family, friends and cats and enjoyed spending

time on numerous vacations, watching grandkids play ball, and just enjoying

life.

Carolyn is survived by her husband of 63 years, John Chessmore; a son –

Timothy Chessmore of Shawnee OK; a daughter – Trina and husband

Patrick Gee of Edmond OK; grandchildren – Lucinda "Lucy" and husband

Derick Moore of Shawnee OK; Amanda and husband Manuel Sauviller of

Harrah, OK ; Kyle Gee and wife Stacy of Tucson AZ; Ashley Gee of Tucson

AZ; Lawrence Chessmore of Moore OK; Angie and husband John Weeden of

Cyril OK; Jason Gee and wife Ali of Seminole, OK ; Patricia and husband

Eric Storer of Tecumseh OK; Christopher Gee and wife Jess of Edmond OK;

and 22 Great-Grandchildren and 5 Great-Great-Grandchildren. Along with one sister ElMina and husband Billy Cowell of Okmulgee Oklahoma.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents; brother, John Sheppard;

brother, Lloyd Sheppard; brother, Gwynne Sheppard; and daughter, Terri

Wallace.
