Catherine Ann Oglesby, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2025, just two days shy of her 80th birthday. She was born on June 9, 1945, in Shawnee to AB and Iness Pecore.

Catherine was a woman of deep faith, strong cultural roots, and endless love for her family. She had a passion for Native American arts and crafts, was known for her skill in cutting hair, and dedicated much of her life to teaching Native American traditions to others. A lover of gospel music and books, Catherine also enjoyed the simple joy of watching her favorite Hallmark movies and exploring new places through travel. Above all, her happiest moments were those spent surrounded by her loved ones.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, John M. Oglesby; her son, Philip A. Oglesby; her parents; her brothers and sisters; Daughter in law Kathryn M. Oglesby and her son-in-law, Greg Foster.

Catherine is survived by her son, Gregory N. Oglesby; her daughter, Tina J. Foster; and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, and cousins who will forever cherish her memory.

Catherine's legacy of love, strength, and cultural pride will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
