Donnie Wayne Melton, aged 84, of McLoud, passed away on December 26, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on May 11, 1939, to his parents Thomas Joshua Melton and Myrtle Simms and grew up alongside his siblings, Barbara Jean Melton, Tommy, Donnie, Charlie, Jerry,  who all preceded him in passing.

Donnie is survived by his devoted wife, Wanda Melton, and his cherished children, Mamie Melton, Scotty Melton, Christina Dutcher, Kelly Farris, and Jodi Stinson. His sister, Carolyn Jean Loper. His memory will live on through his loving family and the countless memories they shared.

Donnie had a passion for music and was an accomplished musician, playing both the guitar and piano. He found joy in strumming his guitar's strings and creating beautiful melodies on the piano. Additionally, he had a childlike fascination with Christmas lights and eagerly awaited the holiday season every year, reveling in the magical display of lights that adorned his surroundings. He also loved spending time outdoors, where he found solace in fishing and enjoyed countless hours of fun playing dominos with friends and family.

Donnie Wayne Melton's warm smile and love for life will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, as they remember the wonderful moments they shared with him throughout the years.
