Frances Marie Raines, age 87, entered into eternal rest on December 24, 2024, in Midwest City, Oklahoma. She was born on March 1, 1937, in Richmond, Virginia, to the late John and Lucy Smith.

Frances was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who devoted her life to her family, her community, and her passions. She was preceded in death by her parents; her cherished husband, Sam Raines; her son-in-law, Robert Winings; and all 14 of her siblings, of whom she was the third youngest.

She leaves behind a legacy of love through her daughter, Teresa Winings; her three sons, David Raines and wife Peggy, Tom Raines and wife Naomi, and Scott Raines and wife Kelly. Frances was a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren who were the light of her life.

Frances dedicated her professional life as a compassionate and skilled registered nurse. In her retirement, she found joy in her many talents and hobbies, including painting, doll making, and sewing. A gifted seamstress, Frances created beautiful works of art with her hands and poured her heart into everything she did. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, cherishing the moments that became treasured memories.

Frances will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her grace, creativity, and unwavering love for her family will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
