Francis Estorga was born on the 29th of June, 1941 in a one room farmhouse outside of Konawa, Oklahoma to Flora Bell (Robinson) and Henry Turnbow. She passed to her eternal home on December 3rd, 2022 in Shawnee, Oklahoma at the age of 81.
Francis graduated from Southwestern Pentecostal Holiness High School in Bethany, Oklahoma in 1959. That is where she met and fell madly in love with Richard Estorga. On June 24th, 1960 they were married in Wichita, Kansas. Francis was a pastor's wife for many years serving with Richard at the 9 churches he pastored over a span of 40 years. They were married for 62 years.
She earned her bachelors degree from Bethany Nazarene University in 1977, and her masters degree from East Central University in 1985. Francis taught fifth grade and kindergarten at McLoud elementary, kindergarten and 6th grade at Dustin elementary and 1st grade at Weleetka elementary. She taught school for a total of 26 years, retiring in 2003.
Francis was an accomplished seamstress, and enjoyed quilting. She was also an avid reader, reading thousands of books in her lifetime. Richard and Francis frequently took their granddaughters on adventures around the state and country during summer breaks from school.
Francis was preceded in death by her mother, father and an infant brother.
She is survived by her husband Richard, sons Rick (Debi) of McLoud, and Mark (Kim) of Oklahoma City, sister Kathey Creps of Bay Minette, Alabama, granddaughters Stephanie (Brandon) Brown and Kayla (Zack) Martin, great grandchildren Ruby and Darius Martin, nephew Bryan Creps and niece Amy Jernigan and their children and grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 10th at Gracechurch, 100 S. Choctaw Road, Choctaw, Oklahoma with Steve Eden officiating.
