Francisco Antonio Bocanegra Girald, born on January 17, 1938, in Anasco, Puerto Rico, peacefully entered into eternal rest on December 22, 2023, in the comfort of his home surrounded by loved ones.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Carmen R Bauza, and their loving children: Wanda I and her husband Jay Smelley, Soraya Aimee, Luis Armando, and Esther Aileen and Yanira Doree. Francisco was a cherished grandfather to Heidi, Sarai, Nicolle, Neysa and her husband Francisco, Jasmine, Ariana, Jonathan, Fernando, Armando, Aramis, JenniferLynne, David and his wife Priscilla, and a proud great-grandfather to Frances, Willow, Alecxander, Leonardo, Victoria, Calyx, Lillith, Saria, and Agnes.
Francisco is also survived by his sister, Estrella Bocanegra, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Fernando Bocanegra and Bienvenida Girald, and his siblings Ana Esther, Violeta, Josefa, Laura, Angel Fernando, and Angeles.
Francisco's life was marked by a passion for various hobbies and interests. He had a deep love for the beach, where he enjoyed swimming and the tranquility of the ocean. Sightseeing was another one of his favorite pastimes, allowing him to explore and appreciate the world's beauty. Francisco had a profound appreciation for music and often found solace in its melodies.
Gathering with family and friends brought him immense joy, and he was a devoted baseball fan, whether playing the sport himself, visiting the park, or watching televised games. His retirement years were filled with computer projects, as he loved building and fixing computers for personal use.
One of Francisco's greatest pleasures was imparting his knowledge to children and grandchildren, always eager to help them solve any problems they encountered. He found fascination in watching TV documentaries on a wide range of topics, from history and nature to science, aliens, and UFOs, displaying a thirst for knowledge and curiosity about the mysteries of the universe.
Francisco Antonio Bocanegra Girald will be remembered for his zest for life, his dedication to his family, and his unwavering love for learning and exploring. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will forever live in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
