Gary W. Turley of Shawnee passed away peacefully April 19, 2023 at a local hospital with his children at his side; he was 73. Gary was born March 29, 1950, in Okmulgee, OK, the youngest son of Robert and Rosa Mae (Maben) Turley. He was a retired barber shop owner and a gifted musician. Gary was a Christian by faith and spent many years serving as a part of the praise and worship team at his church.  When not practicing, performing or tutoring music, he enjoyed riding motorcycles, watching old westerns, and eating Dagwood sandwiches. He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Louise Evans and Vicky Yearta. Survivors include two brothers, Bob Turley of Desoto TX and Ed Turley of Sand Springs; one sister, Nadine Hardin of Yukon; four children, Sharon & Mike Kerr of Broken Arrow, Melissa & Ray Tankersley of Dallas, Gary & Terica Woodall of Yukon, and Kira & John Wingo of Shawnee; eight grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.  The family would like to publicly thank Heartland Hospice and the ICU team at SSM Health for the kindness shown during Gary's final days.  Memorial service is pending through Brown's Family Funeral Home.
