Gayle Louise Singleton, born on March 4, 1945, in Oklahoma City, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2026, in Shawnee, surrounded by her loving family. Her departure marks the end of a remarkable journey defined by devotion, generosity, and a deep connection to her faith, family, and community.

Gayle was a devoted daughter to Forrest and Goldie Fox, whose influence and guidance shaped her character from the earliest days of her life. She later married John Singleton, and together they built a life grounded in love, respect, and shared purpose. Though John, Forrest, and Goldie preceded her in death, their memories remained close to her heart.

As a mother, Gayle was steadfast and compassionate, leaving an indelible mark on those she nurtured and supported. She is lovingly remembered by her son Shawn Singleton and her daughter-in-law Tina Singleton and her daughter Kristi Hahn, as well as her son-in-law Nathan Hahn. Her role as a grandmother was a source of great joy, as she cherished every moment spent with her grandson, Joel Hahn. Each of them feels her absence deeply, yet they are filled with gratitude for the countless ways she enriched their lives.

Gayle’s many passions vividly illuminate the kind and vibrant person she was. Early in life, she found excitement and camaraderie in barrel racing, sharing a special bond with the horses she cherished. Her love for animals remained constant throughout her years, as she cared for many beloved companions on the family farm. She delighted in the beauty of flowers, investing time and care in her flower beds, which served as a reflection of her nurturing spirit.

A woman of deep faith, Gayle loved her Lord wholeheartedly. She touched many lives through her dedicated service to both her church and her community. Her musical talents graced many worship services, as she played piano for her church and shared her gifts with the congregation. Teaching her Sunday school class was among her most treasured roles, as she guided and inspired generations with her gentle wisdom and unwavering belief.

Gayle also enjoyed her membership in the Shawnee engine tractor club, partaking in local traditions and cultivating lasting friendships along the way. Her openness and kindness endeared her to many, and the warmth she shared will long be remembered by all who had the privilege to know her.

The Singleton family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Luminos Hospice and Brookdale Senior Living, along with all of their staff, for the outstanding care, compassion, and support extended to Gayle throughout her final chapter.

Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service in honor of Gayle's life on August 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., to be held at Sunny Lane Cemetery, 4000 SE 29th St, Del City, OK 73115. It is in this shared gathering that her loved ones will celebrate her memory, her virtues, and the many blessings she gave and received.
