Obituary

Gerald Keith Maylen, born April 12, 1960, in Holdenville, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2026, in Meeker, Oklahoma, surrounded by his beloved family. He was a man whose lively spirit and joyful nature left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

Keith was known for his great sense of humor; he was a huge joker who loved to have fun and make others laugh. His zest for life was evident in his favorite pastimes, which included being surrounded by family, going on road trips, and attending family reunions. These activities brought him immense happiness and reflected the deep importance he placed on his loved ones.

Born and raised in Oklahoma, Keith lived a life rich in love and connection. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Peggy Maylen, and his nephew, Bryce Maylen. He is survived by his devoted wife, April Tucker, with whom he shared a cherished life. Together, they raised four children: Megan and Derek Woody, Mark Robbins, Taylor Maylen and James Meadows, and Dakota and Cynthia Maylen. Kieth also took great pride in his ten grandchildren—Logan, Korban, Dawson, Bryson, Michael, Atlas, Journela, Ritten, Traytten, and Baby Maylen—who brought joy and vitality into his later years.

Family was at the center of Keith's world. He is also survived by his three siblings: Deanna Maylen, Dewayne Maylen and his wife Becky, and Danny Maylen and his wife Valerie. His bond with family was a cornerstone of his life, and he treasured every gathering and reunion that kept them close.

A funeral service to honor Keith's life will be held on May 15, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Brown's Family Funeral Home, located at 416 E Broadway, McLoud, Oklahoma. Friends and family are invited to gather there to celebrate his life, share stories, and find comfort in each other’s company.

Keith's life was a testament to the power of laughter, love, and family. Though he has passed from this earth, the joy and warmth he imparted will continue to resonate through his loved ones and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever cherished.
