IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Howard Douglas
Williams
January 5, 1943 – August 10, 2025
Howard Douglas Williams, age 82, of Wellston, Oklahoma, entered into eternal rest on August 10, 2025, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on January 5, 1943, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Roy and Valorys Williams.
Howard was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Valorys Williams, and his brother, Charles Williams. He is survived by his devoted wife, Lenora Williams of the home; daughter, Lori Herring and husband Clayton; son, James Williams and wife Regina; his brother George Williams, and grandchildren, Devin Birdsong-Williams, Hayden Fleener, Caven Herring and wife Cassaundra, Colby Herring and wife Cassidy, and Chaz Aguilar and wife Barbara; and seven beloved great-grandchildren — Maverick, Jhett, Daxx, Rian, Nolan, Sophia, and Aurora.
Howard proudly served his country for 34 years, dedicating his life to duty and honor. Known for his hardworking spirit, he was a man who could build just about anything — from constructing his own home to lending a hand on countless projects for friends and family. He was also an avid collector, particularly of knives, and enjoyed finding treasures as a self-proclaimed "junk collector."
His faith was central to his life. Howard loved his Lord deeply and served faithfully as an elder in his church, where his church family was as dear to him as his own. He found great joy in watching his grandchildren play sports, cheering them on with pride from the sidelines.
Howard will be remembered as a man of integrity, generosity, and steadfast love — a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. His hands built more than just houses; they built a legacy of service, faith, and family that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
