Obituary

Jack Roy Miller left this world and entered into Glory at home, surrounded by family on May 13, 2021. He bravely fought a tough battle against lung cancer and heart conditions. Jack was 59 years young. He was the youngest child of David Miller and Carla Hukills Miller. He was born on January 18, 1962 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Being a military family, his parents, siblings and him moved around from place to place getting to see the different states and countries as a young kid. His parents settled in the Carney - Tryon area where he grew up. He graduated from Perkins - Tryon High School in 1980. On March 28, 1986 Jack Miller married Tonya Moore Miller in Oklahoma City. They welcomed two daughters into the world, Brianne Miller Golliver and Shiloh Miller Wesner. Jack and Tonya raised their family in the Tryon - Agra area. Jack spent many of his years as a truck driver. Although he hated being away from home, he enjoyed traveling across the states. He also enjoyed the outdoors. When Jack was younger, he spent a lot of his time hunting and fishing with friends and family. He was always up for a game of basketball with his daughters, whether playing with them or watching them compete. Family vacations were at the top of the list of his favorite things. Yellowstone was his most memorable trip and he had hoped to someday revisit the National Park. They say the way to a man's heart is through his stomach and they were not wrong. The man loved food. He loved spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters which he called "Papa's girls". Jack was preceded in death by his parents, David Miller and Carla Hukills Miller and brother, Mark Miller. He is survived by his daughters, Brianne Miller Golliver, husband Jonathan Golliver of Shawnee, OK; Shiloh Wesner, husband Ryan Wesner of Norman, OK and 6 granddaughters, Ily Miller, Faith Wesner, Rhema Wesner, Skylar Wesner, Karoline Golliver, and Brooklyn Golliver.
