James Robert Walker entered this life on May 4, 1949, in Meeker, Oklahoma, to S.W. and Helen Walker. He entered into eternal rest on October 13, 2025, at his home in McLoud, Oklahoma, surrounded by his loving family. James lived a life rooted in faith, family, and service. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, his greatest joy came from spending time with those he loved. Whether casting a line while fishing, enjoying a round of golf, or simply being outdoors, James found peace and purpose in the simple moments of life. He proudly served his community and country through his involvement with the VFW, American Legion, Purple Heart Society, Knights of Columbus, and St. Vincent de Paul Society. His dedication to service and his deep faith were evident in the countless ways he gave back to others and supported his church. James was well known for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for the Lord. James is survived by his loving wife, Viola Walker; daughters Vanessa Mudd and husband David, Valerie Walker, and Veronica Walker; seven grandchildren - Adriane, Ashton, Nicholas, Breeana, Brittnaye, Bradan, and Baily; and seven great-grandchildren - Sebastian, Sophie, Ezekiel, Boston, Clarkie, Killian, and Callum. He is also survived by his brother John Walker and wife Carol. He was preceded in death by his parents, S.W. and Helen Walker, sister Mabel Fern Walker, and brother Elmer Walker. James will be remembered for his faith-filled heart, his laughter, and the countless lives he touched through his compassion and service. His legacy of love and devotion will continue to live on in his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
