James Gerald York was born on November 4, 1934 to James and Sybyl York in Luther, Oklahoma. James entered into rest on January 26, 2019 in Chandler, Oklahoma. James York proudly served his country during the Korean War in the United States Navy for 4 years. He enjoyed working in the yard and the saw mill. What meant the most to James was spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. Preceding James Gerald York in death are both his parents, one brother, and two sisters. One grandchild, April Dawn Weathers. Left to mourn his passing is his beloved wife, Loretta York of the home, one son, Travis York of Luther, two daughters, Brenda Donaldson and husband John of Jones, and Denise Weathers and husband Steve of Luther. Eight grandchildren, Sean, Dustin, Abigail, Jake, Summer, Royce, Miranda, and Tara. Three great grandchildren, Whaytt, Elijah, and Cillian. One niece, Claudetta Barns Idaho. Along with a host of other family and friends. A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 4, 2019 at 11:00am at the Luther Cemetery in Luther, Oklahoma.
