Jane Edith Peterson, 93, passed away on September 23, 2026, in Harrah, Oklahoma. She was born on April 18, 1933, in Elizabeth, New Jersey.Jane was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose kind and selfless spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She shared 74 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Lewis Peterson, who preceded her in death just a few short months ago. Together, they built a lifetime of love, family, and cherished memories.Family was at the center of Jane's life. She loved her children dearly and found immeasurable joy in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She treasured every moment spent with her loved ones and was always there to offer a caring heart, a helping hand, or simply a listening ear.Jane found happiness in life's simple pleasures. She enjoyed working on crossword puzzles, lovingly tending to her indoor plants, and spending time with animals, for which she had a special affection. Wherever she went, Jane had a remarkable gift for making friends. She could strike up a conversation with just about anyone and had a way of making those around her feel welcome, valued, and cared for.Above all, Jane will be remembered for her selflessness. She gave freely of her time, her love, and her kindness, never expecting anything in return. Her generosity and warmth left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.Jane is survived by her children, Joseph Peterson; Diane Maletto; Ronald Peterson and his wife, Laurie; and Doug and Carrie Peterson. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Nancy Maletto, Kristin Peterson, Rebecca and Harlon Bennett, Matthew Peterson, Lindsey Maletto, Brandon McNeil and Rose Warren, Tammy and Carson Brown, Emalee Brewton, Lilly King, and Alicia Peterson; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Aydan Bennett, Ian Bennett, Candice McNeil, Arianma Maletto, Elijah Brown, Ryon Bennett, Melody McNeil, and Liam Brown.She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 74 years, Lewis Peterson.Though Jane and Lewis were separated by only a few short months, the love they shared throughout their 74 years of marriage will remain an enduring part of their family's story. Jane leaves behind a lifetime of treasured memories, countless acts of kindness, and a family who will forever carry her love in their hearts.She was deeply loved, and she will be deeply missed.
