Jimmie Mae (Mamma) Harris went on to see the Lord March 19, 2020 at 11:11pm. She was born on Dec 29, 1935, she was 84 years old. She was the youngest of 8 siblings 2brothers and 6 sisters. She was the last of the Burgess'. She was born in Carbon Oklahoma in Pittsburgh County. She was a very loving and caring mother, grandmother and friend. God broke the mold when he created her. Mamma LOVED politics! She was involved in the voter registration committee and took Census in the Pink and Bethel area for many years. She loved political television, mostly to get her blood pressure up. She always put her family first and was quick to help a stranger. She was a true saint. She was married @ 15 yrs of age to Max Monroe Chastain who fathered two children until his untimely death @ age 26. She remarried in 1960 to Young George Harris who passed away in 2012. She left behind two children Maxann Chastain and Mickey Chastain, four grandchildren Matt and Brooke Bolin, Melissa Norman, Jared Chastain, Gabriel Chastain, and lots of great grandkids. Today we celebrate her life and she will not be forgotten.
