Joseph Moreno entered this life on February 15, 1941, in Lawton, Oklahoma. Joseph entered eternal rest on December 18, 2024 in the comfort of his home in Tecumseh, Oklahoma, at the age of 83. He was the beloved son of Sista Lasoya and Luis Moreno.

Joseph married the love of his life, Margaret Lou Smallwood, with whom he shared a beautiful journey until her passing in August 2019. Together, they built a life filled with love and family, raising three children who carry forward his legacy: Danny L. Moreno and wife Carol Ann, Anita L. Kiernan, and Rita Ann Moreno.

He was a proud and devoted grandfather to Max Meier (wife Sarah), JP Meier, Carson Meier, Xavier Meier, Zach O'Connor (wife Cara), Ryan Kiernan, Lindsey Kiernan, Norris Moreno, and Karrie Moreno. His legacy also extends to his cherished great-grandchildren: Savannah Douglas, Blake Kiernan, Rowan O'Connor, Ora O'Connor, Rhodes O'Connor, Hayden Stone, and Grayson Stone.

Joseph is survived by his two younger brothers, Phillip Moreno (wife Veta) and Nick Moreno (wife Myrna), who held a special place in his heart. He is preceded in death by his brothers Lee Moreno and David Moreno, and sisters Anna Lee Fowler, Esther Moreno, Margie Damm, Mary Bell Shehee, Mary Gill, and Patsy Watts.

Joseph lived a full and vibrant life, centered around his faith, his family, and his enduring love for those closest to him. Known for his warm smile, quick wit, and unwavering kindness, he touched the hearts of everyone who knew him. His family was his greatest treasure, and he found immense joy in gatherings, laughter, and the memories they shared.
