It is with heavy hearts for all that love her to announce the passing of Jowinna (Willmett) Thompson.  A celebration of her life will be Saturday December 28th 2024 at 10:00 am at Brown's Family Funeral home in McLoud, OK with Pastor Jonas Bohlin officiating and tributes from special family members.

Jowinna was born on February 16th, 1948 to Leslie and Beatrice (Holland) Willmett in Fort Worth, TX and entered her heavenly home on December 20th, 2024 at her home in Tecumseh, Ok.

After marrying Roy Thompson on May 1st, 1965 they made their home in Fort Worth, TX.  Jowinna was fortunate to stay home and raise her 3 boys.  Together her and Roy made countless memories with close family and friends.  They retired to the family farm in Tecumseh, Ok.  She enjoyed life on the farm raising goats, chickens, guineas, horses and even rescuing a bull named, Baby Baby.  Jowinna had a servant heart and would help anyone she could.  She was incredibly talented in refinishing antique furniture.  She enjoyed horseback riding, fishing, spending time outside and gardening.  She spent many hours during the summer growing the prettiest plants and the most beautiful flowers.  She loved spending time with her boys, grandchildren, and her extended family.  She and her sister, Vonda,  had the most fun together on their shopping trips and the Black Friday experiences will be memories treasured for a lifetime.

Jowinna is survived by her husband, Roy of the home, sons Troy Thompson and his wife Lesa of Fort Worth, TX and Jody Thompson and his wife Ursula of Tecumseh, OK and daughter in law, Veronica Thompson of Tecumseh, Ok.  Grand children Amber Rowles and her husband, Charlie of Fort Worth, TX, Ashley Thompson-Mikel of Fort Worth, TX, Nathan and Travis Thompson of Tecumseh, OK, Tyler Thompson, Lee Thompson, Brittani Haith and husband Jason of Choctaw, OK, Katherine Harvey and her husband Cody of Harrah, OK, Kasey Robertson of Bryant, AR,  Emily Morava of Edmond, Ok and 7 great grandchildren.    One brother, Hallie Willmett and wife Judy of Maud, OK, one sister  Euvonda Ledford and her husband Ronnie of Shawnee, OK, brother in law Hal Thompson of Fort Worth, TX, her, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Jowinna is proceeded in death by her parents, Leslie and Beatrice Willmett, in laws J.C. and Pearl Thompson, sister in laws Ann Blair, Jean Weeter, Alma Wiley, her Shih Tzu, Sassy Sue and her loving eldest son, Rory Thompson on November 25th, 2024.  In lieu of flowers, Jowinna would be honored for  donations to be made to the Citizen Potawatomi Nation Veteran's Organization.  She was a proud CPN tribal member and a proud mother of a USAF Veteran.
