Joyce Vernetta Pitre was born April 26, 1938, to Morris and Della Mustin.  She was the third child to this union. Her humble beginnings started in the small community of Arbekah, Oklahoma. She graduated from Excelsior High School in 1957.

At a young age, Joyce accepted Christ and eventually became a faithful member of True Vine Ministries until her calling home.

Once Joyce arrived in Oklahoma City, she met the love of her life Glen Pitre. They married December 29, 1965, and were blessed with two sons, Dennis and Derrick.

She worked at Lucent Tech for over 20 years and retired in 1991. After retirement, crafting became her life.  Joyce was an avid crafter with many skills.  She cooked, baked, crocheted, knitted, quilted, and upholstered furniture. She was excellent homemaker that kept the cleanest kitchen.

She LOVED Werther's candy, Cheetos and Pepsi.

Joyce departed this life on November 3, 2022.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and all her siblings.

She leaves to cherish and celebrate her memory her husband Glen Pitre of the home, her sons, Dennis Pitre and Derrick Pitre all of Oklahoma City, OK.  Her grandson Kendell (Megan)Taft of Moore, OK & brother-in-law's Rev Wendell Pitre (OKC) & Dwight Pitre, Sister-in-Law's Patricia Pitre of Kansas City, Mo. and Darlene Pitre (Arthur) of Slick, OK and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and Church family members.
