Kaylen Denise Thomas was born on August 10, 2002 in Midwest City, Oklahoma to Johnny and Cynthia Thomas. Kaylen crossed the Jordan into the arms of Jesus on October 5, 2018 in McLoud, Oklahoma. Kaylen was a member of New Life Baptist Church where she was involved with the youth group and attending Falls Creek. Kaylen enjoyed going to Falls Creek to fellowship and meet new friends. Kaylen was a selfless girl who enjoyed being around her friends and most importantly her family. Kaylen did not attend Falls Creek this last summer to be home when her niece was born. Kaylen attended McLoud High School and was very involved with many extracurricular activities. She loved going to football games to cheer on her Redskins and watch her friend cheer. She ran in cross country and had just finished this season. She was on the varsity basketball team which was her favorite sport to play. The last two years she was the leading female archer on the McLoud archery team. She was planning on playing soccer this year after managing the boys' soccer team her Freshman year. she enjoyed camping as well as being at home with her family. Kaylen never met a stranger and would serenade anyone she came in contact with. She loved to sing no matter where she was or who was watching. She also volunteered at the McLoud Library for a year. She enjoyed watching Netflix in her room or watching movies with her mama. She enjoyed going shopping at the mall. Above everything in her life she loved spending time with her family; her sisters, Ashlee (Sissy), Sam, and Elizabeth and her brothers Johnny Jr. and Triston. Especially her best friend Macie. Preceding Kaylen in death is her Mimi Barbara Thomas, her Grampy Earl Cole, and her Aunt Wendy. Left to celebrate her life are her loving parents, Johnny and Cynthia Thomas, three sisters, Samantha Kessler of Moore, Ashlee Beeler of Dell City, Elizabeth Farmer of Oklahoma City. Two brothers, Johnny Thomas Jr. of McLoud, and Triston Thomas of McLoud. Eight nieces and nephews, Landon Farmer, Vanessa Farmer, Jayden Gallegos, Nolan Gallegos, Avaya Beeler, Keegan Price, Orieana Duhon and Jonah Kessler. Along with a host of other family and friends. A public visitation for Kaylen Denise Thomas will be held Thursday, October 10, 2018 from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm at Brown's Family Funeral Home in McLoud, Oklahoma. Services for Kaylen Denise Thomas will be held Friday, October 12, 2018 at 11:00 am at the McLoud High School Gymnasium. With internment to follow at Riverside Cemetery in McLoud, Oklahoma. Services entrusted to Brown's Family Funeral Home in McLoud, Oklahoma.
