Obituary

Kelle June Claxton (Doyle) was born on January 9, 1961, to James and Loretta Doyle, spending her early years growing up in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The family moved to McLoud, Oklahoma in 1974 where she met the love of her life, Denver "Bud" Claxton, while attending McLoud High School. She graduated from Mcloud High School in May of 1979 and married Bud shortly after on June 1st, 1979. They were best friends, recently celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary. Together they raised 3 sons, Charles, Marcus, and Denver "DJ". Kelle worked very hard and retired in April of 2012 after 29 years of employment with the State of Oklahoma. She loved her husband, her sons and many grandchildren with all of her heart. "Nannies house" has always been the grandchildren's favorite place to go. She printed out thousands of coloring pages for them to color and loved attending school and sporting events. She was so proud of all of her kids and grandkids. She became an avid collector after retirement and was especially fond of frogs, amassing a collection of more than 2000 of them. Anyone who knew Kelle well, knew she had a heart of gold and would do anything she could to help someone in need. Kelle will be dearly missed by everyone whose life she ever touched, especially her family. Kelle passed from this life on August 22, 2019. She is preceded in death by her father James Doyle; her mother Loretta Garretson; her stepfather Gerald Garretson; father-in-law Denver Claxton Sr. and two grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Bud Claxton; son Charles Claxton; son Marcus Claxton and his wife Anita; son Denver Claxton and Ashley Bailey; sister Shelle Minor and husband Larry; stepmother Carolyn Doyle; aunt Donna Warren and husband Greg; aunt Linda Stepp; aunt June Lehner; aunt Louise Lawrence; stepsister Dayna Hardin and husband Bill; stepsister Cheryl Steinmetz and husband Chris; stepbrother Keith White; mother-in-law Earline Claxton; sister-in-law Norma and Perry Floyd; sister-in-law Kelly and Richard Thorpe; brother-in-law Joe and Cynthia Claxton; brother-in-law Ray "Tony" Claxton; and nine very special grandchildren as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and other family.
