Obituary

Kenneth L. "Mac" McReynolds, a beloved father, grandfather, and faithful soul, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2026, in Shawnee, surrounded by his loving family. Born on February 1, 1935, Kenneth lived a life marked by dedication, kindness, and a zest for the outdoors that touched all who knew him.

Mac was a man without a single shadow of negativity; he was lively and chatty, traits that made him a cherished presence in every room. His love for life was evident in his passions—he found immeasurable joy working his farm and tending to his cows, a pursuit that was among his proudest accomplishments. Spending time outside mowing his yard and caring for his land brought him true happiness and peace.

A devoted man, Mac served his country with honor and pride for over twenty years in the United States Air Force. His faithful spirit and open heart extended beyond his military service and into every relationship. He married Beverley in 2004, and together they shared nearly two decades of a full, rich life until her passing in 2023. Their bond was a testament to love and companionship through life’s seasons.

As a loving papa and father, Mac's heart overflowed with warmth and generosity. His children—Rebecca Bell and Gary Savant—carry forward his legacy of kindness. He was a grandfather to seven grandchildren: Hayley Bell, Trace Bell, Jade Savant, Gage Savant, Matthew McReynolds, Chad McReynolds, Heather Turnbull-Raines, and Charles Turnbull, each one deeply touched by his gentle spirit. Surviving siblings Donald McReynolds and James McReynolds also remember him fondly.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his beloved wife Beverley McReynolds, sons Kenneth McReynolds, Redge Savant, and Hugh McReynolds, daughter Linda McReynolds, father Harry McReynolds, mother Stella Ogden, stepmother Marie Wilson-McReynolds, first wife Shirley Tidwell McReynolds, son-in-law Greg Bell, and siblings Imogen Davis, Edward McReynolds, Harry McReynolds, Robert McReynolds, and Louise Mueller.

The family will gather to honor Mac's remarkable life at a Funeral Service held at Mammoth Baptist Church, located at 339943 US-62 in Meeker, Oklahoma, on May 2, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m., with the service concluding at 11:00 a.m. This gathering will celebrate a man whose presence brightened days and whose faith guided his steps.

Kenneth L. McReynolds leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and devotion—a man who embraced life fully, who nurtured his land and family with equal care, and who will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
