Kenneth Lee Skelly, 69, of Shawnee, has uttered his final "daggumit" and completed his work in this world. After cheating death on several occasions, the Lord saw fit to call him home on October 7, 2018. Kenny was born to J.W. and Alinee Skelly On May 1, 1949 in Stratford, OK. He graduated from Bethel High School where he showed an aptitude for mathematics. He went on to become an accomplished carpenter and specialized in cabinet making. But his greatest accomplishment was the family that he built with his wife of 46 years, Theresa Skelly. He is survived by his loving wife, his children Travis (Jaymee) Skelly, April (Darrell) Carter, and Courtney (Vance) Jones, his grandchildren Jesse (Amber) Belvin, Justin (Kim) Belvin, Samantha Skelly, Cole Skelly, Madison Jones, Colton Skelly, and Riot Carter, his great-grandchildren Addison Belvin, Brittany Belvin, and Carly Belvin, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and an extended, loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents, three children Shanna, Shawn, and Chrissy Skelly, and grandson C.J. Belvin. A memorial service to celebrate Kenny's life will be held on Thursday, October 11 at 11 a.m. at the Highland Church of Christ in Tecumseh. Erick Henson will officiate. Brown's Family Funeral Home in McLoud is handling the arrangements. As a living memorial to Kenny, his family asks that you "always keep your powder dry and don't spit in the wind."
