Ronnie was born March 17, 1949 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota to James William Zuraff and Stella Elaine (Hathaway) Zuraff. He passed away August 1, 2020 at the age of 71. He was raised in Sioux Falls until the family moved to Florida in 1964. He had a love for baseball and played ball with neighborhood kids while growing up. He was an avid collector of baseball cards and collected many in the late 1950's and early 1960's. He dreamed of being a disk jockey and would often play 45 RPM's on his stereo while pretending to be one. He joined the U.S. Air Force and spent 4 years in Germany and earned an Honorable Discharge. After his discharge he moved to Pensacola, Florida to attend college and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Communications from the University of Northwest Florida. He worked as a security guard while attending college. He was a parole officer for the state of Florida after earning his degree before going to work as a correction officer for the Escambia County Sheriff's Department in Pensacola until his retirement. He moved to Oklahoma in 2006 and lived here until his death. Ronnie married Jenny Hernandez and was discovered sometime after the birth of a son, Christopher Ronald Zuraff. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in the late 1980's while living in Pensacola and attended Methodist church there. He was a believer until his death. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Elaine Zuraff. He is survived by his son Christopher Zuraff of McLoud, Oklahoma, 3 brothers and their wives: Larry and Anita Zuraff of Cotton Dale, FL., Steven and Rebecca Zuraff of Oklahoma City, OK, and Jeff and Connie Zuraff of DeFuniak Springs, FL. He is survived by 3 sisters and their husbands: Janet and Steven Henderson of Florala, AL, Joan and Buddy Pryor of DeFuniak Springs, FL, and Cathy Long of DeFuniak Springs, FL.
