Laquita Jo McCoy entered this life on November 1, 1945 to L.C. and Ellis Carlton. Laquita went to be with her Lord on June 22, 2023 surrounded by her loved ones in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Laquita married the love of her life James on April 24, 1965 a week after they met each other in Mississippi. Laquita and James spent every moment after that with one another never leaving each other's side. Laquita loved flowers and was very artistic when it came to drawing and painting. She loved to be challenged by puzzles and enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She loved to sing especially gospels and real country music such as Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn.

Left to cherish Laquita's memory is her husband, James McCoy, and her son, Clint McCoy, and her daughter, Missy McCoy. Her grandchildren, Kameryn and Ryan and her great grandchild, Kayson McCoy.
