Lenora Jean Williams, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2026, in Wellston, Oklahoma. Born on February 9, 1946, in Lexington, Oklahoma, Lenora graced this world with a life marked by kindness, resilience, and an unwavering devotion to her family and loved ones.

Throughout her eighty years, Lenora was a steadfast presence for those she held dear, always offering a listening ear, lovingly prepared meals, and the comforted with her warm spirit. Her roots in Oklahoma ran deep, and she drew strength from her community, her faith, and her treasured relationships.

Lenora’s family was at the heart of her life. She is survived by her children: daughter Lori Herring and Clayton Herring and son Jim Williams. She found immense joy in the laughter and accomplishments of her grandchildren and great grandchildren: Caven Herring and Cassaundra Herring, Colby Herring and Cassidy Herring, Chaz Aguilar and Barb Aguilar, Devin Birdsong Williams, and her great-grandchildren Maverick, Jhett, Daxx, Rian, Nolan, Sophia, and Aurora.

Lenora’s life was touched by both profound love and profound loss. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Howard Williams, with whom she shared many treasured years. Preceded in death also by her father Delmar Hawkins, mother Geniece Hawkins, sister Paulette Hopkins. Lenora also honored the memory of her grandparents, Grandma and Grandpa Oklahoma, who shaped her early years with their love and wisdom.

She had a unique ability to make each person she encountered feel valued and seen, creating bonds that have influenced generations. Whether simply visiting over coffee, sharing stories from her youth in Lexington, or offering guidance and encouragement, Lenora exemplified patience and grace. Her memory will continue to live on in the values she instilled in her family integrity, kindness, and steadfast determination.

Though she will be deeply missed, the love Lenora shared and the example she set will endure woven throughout the lives of all who knew her.
