Leon Oliver West of Meeker went to be in the arms of Jesus March 12, 2020 at the age of 87. Leon was born August 29, 1932 in Shawnee Oklahoma to Listen and Edith West. He married the love of his life Freeda (Wakole) West on February 8, 1956. He is preceded in death by his brother Carl and both his parents. Left to mourn his passing is his wife Freeda West of the home. Children Terry West and wife Charisse of Wamego KS, Gayla McCoy and husband Craig of Parker CO, and David West and wife Christine of Sapulpa OK. Leon had seven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. He worked at Architectural Millwork for fifty four years and he proudly served his country in the US Army. Leon's passion was woodworking and he enjoyed spend his time in his garden. His legacy will be remembered by a host of other family and friends.
