Hagel
September 3, 1944 – April 15, 2022
Linda Lou Hagel passed from this life on April 15, 2022 in Shawnee, Oklahoma surrounded by her family. She was 77 years old. Linda loved animals and her grandchildren more than anything in this world. She was a doting grandmother, always having a sweet treat available and a stuffed animal or coloring book to take home from a visit. She never forgot a birthday or special occasion.
Linda Lou Hagel was born in Hanford, California on September 3, 1944 to Herman Adolf Hagel and Edna Lou (nee Franklin). She moved to Colorado in the 1970's and worked at Westinghouse and IBM. In the mid 1970's, she moved to Oklahoma City to be closer to her mother and family and took atjob at General Motors. She retired from General Motors in the late 1990's. Linda loved to have flowers in her garden and always had a big yard for her animals to enjoy. After her retirement, Linda relocated to Tecumseh, Oklahoma to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren.
Linda loved sweets, especially pecan pie and could always be convinced to make a trip to Braum's for some ice cream. She was a Christian woman, very kind, with a big heart and a bright smile.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Herman Hagel and Edna Schleiger, brother Harry Donald (Don) Hagel, and son-in-law Al Turner. She is survived by her children, Christina Lynn Turner of Shawnee and Daniel Minkel, and wife Monica of Denver, Colorado. She has five grandchildren, Jamie Lynn Pickard, Brett Lee Pickard and wife Monica, Brady DylanPickard, Allison Jade Minkel, and Andrew Marshall Minkel and three great grandchildren, Shady Brae Pickard, Aiden Lee Pickard and Serenity Starr Pickard. She also has her loving animals who will miss her very much.
Linda leaves behind many friends in the community that will miss her dearly.
The family has asked that in lieu of flowers that you contribute to your local animal shelter.
