Linda Gayle Walters Montgomery was born on September 13, 1949 to Edward and Ida Stribling Walters, in Ardmore, Oklahoma. She graduated from Dickson High School, class of 1968, and went on to attend East Central University. In 1972, Linda graduated with a degree in Art and Physical Education. On September 15th of that same year, she married Gary Montgomery. They were man and wife until she went to be with her Lord and Savior, on March 29, 2021, at 1:02pm. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Ida Walters, Aunt Mary, Nephew Chuck Hundley, and Brother-in-law Bobby Gentry. She leaves behind her husband, Gary Montgomery, daughter Dene' Sara Montgomery Ryan and her husband David Lee Ryan, granddaughters Charis Jordan Montgomery, and Tatum Jane Ryan, and grandsons Kevan James Ryan, Benjamin Joshua Ryan, and Robert "Jase" Ryan. Linda is also survived by three brothers: Richard Walters, Henry Walters, Charles Walters, his wife Brenda and two sons Cody and Toby Walters; Four sisters: Isabel Carmon and husband JerryCarmon and daughter Rhonda Carmon Bartlett, and sisters China Bilbrey and daughters Debbie Jacks, Edna Gentry, and Donna Walters, and numerous great nieces and nephews. Linda loved life and lived it to the fullest. She enjoyed attending women's retreats with her fellow sisters in Christ. She always had a smile on her face. She had a lot of joy in her heart, and her sisters called her laughing girl. When life presented her with hard times, she would take a deep breath, smile, and say, "God's got this". God had a different plan this time. "Linda, your work is done...Come home".
