Obituary

Loretta Wilson, passed away on January 18, 2024 in her home in Mcloud, Oklahoma. She was born on May 17, 1936 to Ruby Penn and Roy Murphy in Missouri. She was one of twelve children born to this wonderful family. Loretta spent most of her childhood helping to take care of her numerous brothers and sisters. She eventually met and married the love of her life, Delmar Wilson on July 6, 1958. They lived in Syracus, Kansas and had their first child, Allen Wilson on February 2, 1959 and their second child, Charlotte Brockelsby on January 27, 1961. They had lived for a while in Ulyssis, Kansas and had moved to Guymon, Oklahoma. Loretta had worked various jobs, including Bell Telephone in Kansas, Walmart for a number of years, traveled the country with Delmar and had sold Avon on the side. Even though she was busy with work and life, she had always made time for her family. Loretta enjoyed family first; she also enjoyed fishing, square dancing, playing her banjo and reading. She never slowed down no matter what ailed her.

Loretta is preceded in death by her loving husband, Delmar; parents Ruby and Roy; son in law Rudy Brockelsby Sr; her brothers and sisters Imagene (Jo), Lorraine, Bob, Bill, Benny Joe, Ted, Ruth, Bud and Rosa Lee. Survivors are her children Allen Wilson and spouse Barbara and Charlotte Brockelsby; Siblings Charles Murphy and spouse Donna, Dwain Murphy and wife Sandra and Linda Dent and spouse Leon; grandchildren Andrea Clark, Stephanie Wilson, Amy Mantooth and spouse David, and Jeremy Brockelsby. Loretta had plenty of great grandchildren and beyond- Cody Arney and partner Kenny, Drake and Cora Mantooth (Amy); Lane and one of his own, Katherina with 3 of her own and Elizabeth with one of her own (Andrea); Kayden and Kayson (Stephanie); Brebynn-Allen  (Jeremy) and Abigail (Rudy Jr). Needless to say, Loretta was raised in a big family and that never changed throughout her years on earth. She loved each and every one of us no matter what.
