Obituary

Loyd Eugene Freed was born on November 20, 1945 to Ralph and Leona Freed in Holdenville, Oklahoma. Loyd is also known as Butch by family and friends. He attended Moore High School where he learned how to weld and built the Moore High School football stadium. He had a passion for farming and hot rodding in his mustang on the strip. He met the love of his life Donna Garrett in 1967. They were married for 52 years. He worked at Tinker Air Force base for 35 years retiring in 2002. He lived in Midwest City until 1981 where he and his family planted roots in Wellston. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and anything outdoors, but his main passion was his family. He is proceeded in death by his parents and his brother Lonnie Freed. He is survived by his wife Donna Freed of the home and 2 daughters, Connie married to Patrick Meeks of Cottonwood Heights, Utah and Shelly married to Ronald Whitnah of Wellston. 9 grandchildren, Kyle Day, Ryan Day, Cory Meeks, Caitlin Meeks, Kerry Whitnah, Matt Whitnah, Andrew Whitnah, Garrett Whitnah, and Heather Whitnah. 8 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Along with a host of other family and friends. Visitation will be held Friday, August 30, 2019 at First Baptist Church in Wellston, Ok. from 11:00am to 9:00pm. Services will be held Saturday, August 31, 2019 at First Baptist Church in Wellston, Ok. at 2:30pm.
