Mary Louise Aday-King, age 81, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at her home on the morning of Sunday, October 4, 2026, following a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on June 24, 1945, in Springfield, Missouri to Rufus Franklin Aday and Lois Okla Friend-Aday. She was the only daughter and youngest of nine children, growing up surrounded by her brothers, all of whom preceded her in death. Mary is survived by her three children, bonus children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and so many friends who loved her dearly.

Mary had many passions and interests that brought joy to her life. She enjoyed baking, cooking, crafts, plants, flowers, and animals. Dingo dog held a special place in her heart, he was devoted to Mary and remained faithfully by her bedside, refusing to leave even after she passed. Mary also held a special fondness for collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia, wolves, frogs and pigs. She was an avid reader and a devoted Stephen King fan, proudly owning his entire library. Her collections brought her much happiness. Mary dedicated much of her working life to the healthcare field, caring for others. 

Above all, Mary treasured her family and cherished spending time with them and was extremely thankful to many of those who helped treat her during the trying times. She will be remembered for her courage, strength, caring heart, humor, spunk and the special love she shared with those closest to her. Though she is no longer with us, the memories she created, the lives she touched, and the love she gave will continue on through her family and all those fortunate enough to have known her.
