McKenzie Denae Sanchez, beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, and friend, passed away on April 11, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion. Born on February 14, 1990, McKenzie lived a life marked by dedication, kindness, and a vibrant spirit.

McKenzie is survived by her loving parents, Todd and Robin Gilbert, her devoted brother, Logan Gilbert, and his fiancée Jessica Lindsey, as well as her cherished grandparents, Kay Gilbert and Cecil and Kathy Bernard. She was preceded in death by her grandparent, Laddie Gilbert, and her husband, Robert Sanchez.

McKenzie's memory will be forever cherished by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a wide circle of friends whose lives she touched deeply.

McKenzie's passion for helping others led her to a fulfilling career as an OR Nurse, where her dedication and compassion touched the lives of many. Her commitment to her patients was evident in every interaction, and her colleagues held her in the highest regard.

Outside of work, McKenzie found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a profound love for the outdoors, often spending her free time at the lake, surrounded by the beauty of nature. She also had a fondness for the magic of cinema and enjoyed going to the movies with loved ones.

McKenzie will be remembered for her warm heart, her infectious laughter, and her unwavering love for her family and friends. Her absence leaves a void that can never be filled, but her spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
