We celebrate the life of Nellie Jean Wooten, as she goes to with the heavenly Father! She was born April 5, 1953 to James Mitchell and Juanita Simon. She passed away June 26, 2026 In Edmond.

Nellie had many accomplishments in her lifetime, she owned cafes, was an RN, and later in life became caretakers for the elderly, her most memorable and notable accomplishments were her patience and kindness she gave with the family and friends she had through her years.

We will remember Nellie's mornings with her coffee, her kindness, and her love for the outdoors that made life feel a little softer. She made everything feel calm and full of love. We’ll miss her gentle presence, but we’ll carry those simple, peaceful moments with us always.

She is survived by long term partner Robert Chowing, by sisters Carolyn Harrison and Juanita Pitts, her brothers Delbert Mitchell, Donnie Mitchell, and Dewayne Mitchell, all her grandchildren, and great grandchildren! She was survived by family and friends who will cherish her spirit!
