Nila June Cartmill, 76, of Shawnee, Oklahoma was called home to spend eternity with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, September 30,

2024 after complications due to a long battle with lung cancer.

Nila was born in Buffalo,New York but never claimed to be a Yankee. She attended Lavon Assembly of God in person and then online for over 27 years, loved gardening and flowers, the biggest Wheel of Fortune fan we knew, loved her little dog Pearl, and was proud being a grandma and nanny. Above all, she loved the Lord and her family.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Sue Kelley and step father Howard (Red) Kelley along with her birth father, Charles Barkley.

She is survived by the love of her life of 45 years, Jerry L Cartmill her beloved husband; beloved daughter, Fallon Gail Temple and husband Maxey D Temple of Shawnee, Oklahoma; beloved son Diron Hill and wife Holly of Ruidoso, New Mexico; as well as step- son Jerry E. Cartmill of Wellston, Oklahoma. She also leaves behind her treasured grandchildren Jerry Cartmill, Jacy Cartmill, Haidyn Hill, and Patrick Cole; along with 3 great grandchildren. Along with her family, she leaves behind her best friend of over 50 years, Gail Hennessy and many other friends and family she valued so much.
