Patricia "Pat" Lee McCauley, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, teacher, and woman of unwavering faith, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Ada, Oklahoma, on November 22, 1947, Pat was the cherished daughter of Tom and Marjorie Martin. She graduated from East Central University in 1968, the same year she began her career as a devoted educator at McLoud Elementary, where she taught for a decade. Her impact on the lives of her students was lasting, and she continued to nurture young minds for many years as a substitute teacher.
On December 22, 1966, Pat married the love of her life, Benton McCauley. Their enduring love and partnership were a testament to their deep bond and shared values. Together, they raised a loving family and built a home filled with laughter, strength, and devotion.
Pat is survived by her husband Benton; her daughter Robyn; her son Benton "Scooter" and daughter-in-law Nicole; her grandchildren Brandy, Bobby "Bubba," Benton "Bubby," Mekayla, Keira, Christian, and Bella; and her great-grandchildren Madyson, Gavyn, Kolstyn, and Rayley. She loved her family fiercely and found joy and purpose in every role she played in their lives.
Faith was the foundation of Pat's life. Her love for God shone through in her kindness, her words, and her actions. She was a steady source of comfort and encouragement to everyone who knew her, and her legacy of compassion and strength will live on in the hearts of many.
A viewing will be held at Brown's Funeral Home on Friday, May 9, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Graveside services will follow on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 1:00 PM at McLoud Cemetery, 29501 Kickapoo Rd, McLoud, Oklahoma.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in honor of Pat's memory.
Her light will never dim. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
