Prentice Gene Mattheyer of Davenport OK was born February 6, 1939 to John and Joyce Mattheyer in Tulsa OK. Prentice went home to be with his Lord on March 16, 2019 in Shawnee OK surrounded by his family. Prentice enjoyed many things in life hunting, fishing, four wheeling in the mountains. Prentice cherished all the family vacations they took, he also loved spending time watching his deer in the back yard. He was an avid Oklahoma football and Thunder fan. Prentice held closet to his heart his family, and most important was his Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Preceding him in death are both his parents, one son Dennis Mattheyer, two brothers; Leon and J.W. Mattheyer, along with one sister; Bobba Wilson. Left behind to mourn his passing and to spread his legacy his wife Peggy Mattheyer of the home, one son Tim Mattheyer and two daughters Christy Mattheyer and husband Jon Terronez, and Lacy and husband Erick Davis. As well as one sister Joyce Seeling and a sister in law Fern Mattheyer. Prentice leaves behind nine grandchildren; Micheal, Sydney, Brittany, Dennis, Sarah, Kacie, Daniel, Cole, and Cody, as well as four great grandchildren; Gracie, Troy, Naomi, and Braize. Along with a host of other family and friends.
