Preston Travis, age 54, of Oklahoma, entered into eternal rest on March 4, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on November 11, 1971, in Wewoka, Oklahoma, to Maggie Jo Travis.
Preston was a man known for his kind heart, strong faith, and love for others. He found great joy in helping people, often going out of his way to lend a hand to anyone in need. Many who met Preston were naturally drawn to him, and he was told on more than one occasion that God had a special calling on his life.
He enjoyed a variety of hobbies and interests that brought him happiness. Preston loved fishing, reading his Bible, and spending quiet moments in reflection. He was an avid fan of OU football and enjoyed cooking, going to the casino, and most of all, spending time with his children, grandchildren, family, and friends.
Preston was preceded in death by his aunt, Delora Ann Hughes of Wetumka; his uncle, Clarence Herman Hughes of Wetumka; and his grandmother, Amanda Craig King.
He is survived by his mother, Maggie Jo Travis of Wetumka; his sister, Latasha Travis of Weleetka; his brother, Lerone Travis of Weleetka; his former wife, Tracey Travis of Weleetka; and his children, Dana Baker of Wetumka, Desmond Travis of Edmond, Nichole Chasteen of Okmulgee, Shawn Travis of Okmulgee, and Morgan Gibson of Norman.
He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Brayden, Makaylea, Jace, Arieah-Len, Josiah, Larenda, Iva, Kayson, and Alexis; and one great-grandchild, Nathaniel.
Preston will be remembered as a wonderful man, a devoted father and "Pop Pop," a loving son, brother, and a loyal friend. His presence, kindness, and unwavering faith will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
