IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ray Wesley
Brown
July 28, 1944 – April 24, 2025
Ray Wesley Brown entered this life on July 28, 1944, in Chandler, Oklahoma, born to Raymond and Beatrice Brown. He entered into eternal rest on April 24, 2025, in Midwest City, Oklahoma at the age of 80.
Ray proudly served his country in the United States Army and dedicated his life to hard work and service. He was a talented mechanic and body man, known for his ability to work with his hands—whether in his shop, on his farm, or tending to his garden. Ray was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, and simply spending time outside enjoying God's creation.
A brown belt in karate, Ray carried himself with discipline and quiet strength. He was a man of deep faith who was born again in 1977, and he lived his life as a testament to his love for the Lord. More than anything, Ray will be remembered as an all-around good man and a wonderful husband.
Ray is survived by his beloved wife, Yaeko Brown; daughters Becky McKinney Brown and Gina Neely (and husband Vance); grandchildren Charlie McKinney III, Ryan Payton Ray McKinney, and Vance Austin Neely; and great-grandchildren Ivy, Attica, and Baby McKinney. He is also survived by his sister Darlene Spencer and brother Gene Brown, along with a host of extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Beatrice Brown; and his brothers Arden Brown, Danny Brown, and Dave Brown.
Ray also leaves behind a very special friend and neighbor, Earl Frazier, whose friendship was a true gift.
Ray Wesley Brown lived a full and meaningful life, guided by love, service, and faith. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
