Retta Marie Bomboy entered this life on November 15, 1952, in Fort Worth, Texas, and peacefully entered into eternal rest on April 14, 2025, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by the love of her family. Retta was a woman of quiet strength and enduring love. She had a gift for making a house a home, and her warmth and nurturing spirit were felt by all who knew her. She had a true green thumb and found joy in gardening and tending to her flowers. Her love for the outdoors was only rivaled by her love for her family-especially her grandchildren, who brought her endless joy and pride. She was preceded in death by her parents,Raymond and Hazel Edmunds, her siblings, Lyn Frederick, Raymond "Chub" Edmunds, and Virginia Macon; her beloved in-laws, John and Ruth Bomboy, and her daughter Redonda Bomboy; and her cherished grandson, Nicholas Bomboy. Retta is survived by her devoted husband, Ted Bomboy, and their children: Curtis Bomboy and his wife Bonita, Teddy Bomboy Jr. and Kristen, and Lisa Lumry and her husband Sean. She leaves behind a legacy through her treasured grandchildren: Robert Hawthorne, Miranda Estrada and Miguel, Joshua Hawthorne, Cayden Lumry, Mykaela Lumry, Derek Bomboy and his wife Marissa, Matthew Bomboy and his wife Sable, Daniel Bomboy, Andrew Bomboy, Ryan Bomboy, Micheal Bomboy, and Christopher Bomboy. Her great-grandchildren, Luna Estrada and Atzi Estrada, were her pride and joy. Retta also leaves behind a host of extended family members and dear friends who were touched by her kindness, her wit, and her unwavering love. She will be remembered for her deep devotion to family, her passion for growing and nurturing life-both in her garden and in her home-and her beautiful, enduring spirit that will continue to bloom in the lives of those who loved her.
