Roy Lee
Mann
Apr 19, 1953 — Jul 13, 2026
Roy Lee Mann entered this life on April 19, 1953, in Antlers, Oklahoma, to Napoleon Mann and Ruby Potts. He entered into eternal rest on July 13, 2026, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 73.
Roy was a hardworking man who spent much of his life as a truck driver. The open road and a strong work ethic were familiar parts of his life, and he understood the value of putting in an honest day's work. He was also a talented welder and enjoyed working with his hands, always finding something to repair, build, or improve.
A true shade-tree mechanic, Roy enjoyed working on vehicles and was never afraid to get his hands dirty under the hood. Whether he was fixing a problem, tinkering with an engine, or simply seeing what he could make run a little better, working on vehicles was something that came naturally to him.
Roy also enjoyed firing up the barbecue smoker and smoking meats. He appreciated the time and patience it took to prepare good barbecue and found enjoyment in the simple pleasures of cooking, working with his hands, and spending time doing the things he loved. Roy will be remembered for his hardworking nature, his many talents, and the memories he leaves with those who knew and loved him.
Roy is survived by his sister, Mary Jo Nelson; his brothers, Paul Potts and Joseph Potts; and Timothy Nelson. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Stephanie Nelson, Casie Nelson, Rebecca Ash, Kyle Ash, Amber (Ash) Hogan, Clayton Ash, and Paul Potts Jr.; along with other extended family members and friends who will deeply miss him.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Napoleon Mann and Ruby Potts; his brother, Eulice Mann; his sister, Sybil Ash; his uncles, William Kincaid and Perry Kincaid; and his grandmother, Ruby May Pitts.
Roy Lee Mann lived a life marked by hard work, practical skill, and a willingness to tackle whatever was in front of him. From miles traveled behind the wheel to hours spent welding, working on vehicles, or tending the smoker, the things he enjoyed reflected the man he was. His memory will live on through his family, his friends, and the many stories and memories shared by those fortunate enough to have known him.
