IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ruby Kathryn
Gatlin
August 17, 1942 – February 7, 2026
Ruby Kathryn Gatlin entered this life on August 17, 1942, to George and Juanita Hall in Prague, Oklahoma. She entered into eternal rest on February 7, 2026, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 83 years.
Ruby was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She married the love of her life, Wayne Gatlin, in 1962. Together they shared 44 wonderful years of marriage before his passing in 2006. Their love story was one rooted in commitment, laughter, and a shared enjoyment of the simple things in life — especially fishing trips and time spent outdoors.
Ruby worked faithfully as a forklift operator for Wolverine for 22 years, where she was known for her strong work ethic and dedication. Outside of work, she found joy in arranging flowers, deep sea fishing with her husband, and most of all, spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Being surrounded by her family brought her the greatest happiness.
She is survived by her loving daughters: Shelly Smith and spouse Kinley Smith; Dana Warden and spouse Gene Warden; and Vicky Mitchell.
Her cherished grandchildren include: Amanda, Christopher, and Derric (children of Vicky); Veronica Ellis (child of Dana); Chris Slusser, Zach Slusser, Josh Slusser, Shane Newcomb, and Kalen Newcomb (children of Shelly).
Ruby was also blessed with 22 great-grandchildren seven through Vicky's family, thirteen through Shelly's family, two through Dana's family and one precious great-grandchild on the way.
She is further survived by five sisters and two brothers, along with numerous extended family members and dear friends.
Ruby was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wayne Gatlin; her parents, George and Agnes Hall; her grandson, Wesley Davis; her granddaughter, Jennifer Phares; and one brother Don Hall.
Ruby's legacy is one of love, resilience, and devotion to family. She will be remembered for her strong spirit, her generous heart, and the way she treasured every moment spent with those she loved most.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
