Russell was a hard worker. He dedicated himself to construction work and enjoyed doing it. He was a cowboy and enjoyed watching race horses.

Preceding Russell in death are his parents, Oscar and Jerri Marie Burchette and his brother, Oscar Ray Burchette Jr. Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Lyndsey Kirkland, his two sons, Kevin Keel and Levi and spouse Skylar Keel. His grandchildren, Cash Ray, Elijah, Roman, Michael, Raylynn, Lucas, and Huntleigh. His brother, Ronnie Burchette, and his aunt Elizabeth Ann Knuckols. His uncle Shelby and spouse May Burchette. Along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
